They are found in the wild in some parts of Canada, making them totally LEGAL to keep! Some other species of land snails are illegal to keep, but these guys are legal! They are very easy to care for and need around a 5-10 gallon tank with Eco Earth and Sphagnum Moss as the substrate. Provide them with some cork bark to climb on. They need high humidity. Do not provide them with a water bowl but instead give them heavy mistings with dechlorinated water every day. They eat fresh veggies like sweet potato and, zucchini, among other things. Make sure to have a source of calcium for them, as it is essential for healthy shell development. Breeding: It is NOT recommended to raise any eggs from these particular snails. Almost 90% of snails that are produced are runts and have a very poor quality of life. Their organs grow faster than their shells and it leads to a very painful death.
